I have been a Nurse Practitioner since 2000, when I found my true calling caring for my patients and their health & wellness needs.
I have sixteen years of experience in primary care, initially in Massachusetts and for the past nine years here in North Texas. I have worked in a variety of family practices, from smaller one physician settings to large multi-provider practices. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, I worked as a Registered Nurse for 7 years in both hospital and outpatient settings. I am certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner and recently completed a Post Master’s Certificate to expand my licensure to include obstetrics and pediatrics. My focus and passion is on disease prevention. My experience includes managing the chronic health needs of individuals with Diabetes, Hypertension, and high cholesterol. Prevention is truly the best medicine! Moderation is my philosophy with wellness as my goal.
On the personal side, I am married with three children, two of whom are in college (Go Baylor!! Go TCU!!) When I’m not at work I enjoy novels, scrapbooking, movies, Jazzercise, and travel.
