Trying to conceive and not getting results can be deeply frustrating. Today, 1 in 6 couples experience infertility—and the chances of conception decrease with age. Women over 35 are encouraged to seek evaluation after 6 months of trying, as fertility significantly declines after this point.

What causes infertility?

Infertility can be caused by factors in either partner:

  • Irregular or absent ovulation
  • Fallopian tube or uterine abnormalities
  • Cervical issues
Men
  • Low sperm count
  • Poor sperm quality or motility

Diagnostic tools may include sonograms and HSG dye tests to evaluate reproductive organs and detect possible blockages or irregularities.

  2. Check your test results, Go to Personal Information > Additional Content > Reports and Tools, then click View Recent Test Results to see your lab results.
